Private jet charter to Germany

A popular city break destination, Germany is only a short flight away from the UK and sits conveniently among nine European countries. In addition to capital city Berlin, this European powerhouse is home to vibrant cities including Munich, Frankfurt, Cologne, Dusseldorf and Hamburg. Skiing and hiking in the Bavarian Alps and Black Forest are another draw for tourists, along with the wine harvest in August and Munich’s notorious Oktoberfest. Let our team help you Charter a private jet to Germany.

Spend a weekend exploring Germany’s buzzing capital, Berlin, with its vibrant nightlife and world-class restaurants, and you’ll understand why so many Brits relocate here. Fashionistas are richly rewarded in this creatively-driven city, with designer boutiques lining the Friedrichstrasse along with Germany’s very own Galeries Lafayette department store. This high-end shopping street is located near historical points of interest such as Checkpoint Charlie, a Berlin Wall crossing point, and remnants of the wall. Kurfurstendamm is Berlin’s more-sophisticated answer to Oxford Street and there’s also a trendy selection of vintage second-hand stores for those with eclectic tastes. Each October, the city is illuminated during the Festival of Lights, which makes for a spectacular sight.

In the north of the country lies the naval city of Hamburg, where you can spend a day admiring pretty canals and red-brick architecture. As night falls, visit one of the many theatres or watch a rousing opera at the Elbe Philharmonic Hall. Hannover, the capital of Lower Saxony, is home to impressive sights including the castle-like New Town Hall and the spectacular Herrenhausen Gardens; while the largest of Germany’s Northern Frisian Islands, Sylt, is a glamorous seaside resort dotted with long sandy beaches and Michelin-starred restaurants.

West Germany is home to popular citites Dusseldorf, Frankfurt and Cologne. Dusseldorf is great for luxury shopping on the Königsallee (‘King’s Avenue’), an elegant shopping street that runs along the banks of a landscaped canal. Frankfurt is Germany’s financial powerhouse and home to the European Central Bank – if you’re here for business and don’t have much time to explore, visit Frankfurt Cathedral and the Main Tower for panoramic city views or browse Goethestraße’s designer stores. Cologne is a year-round crowd pleaser with its cathedral, Christmas markets and carnival.

Automobile enthusiasts should take a trip to Stuttgart, capital of the western state of Baden-Wurttemberg, where car giants Porsche and Mercedes-Benz have headquarters and museums. The region also offers year-round wine tasting, with notable vineyards dating back to 3AD; visit Stuttgart between September and October to join the revelries of Cannstatter Wasen, a less touristic wine and beer festival that’s ideal for those looking to avoid the hype of Oktoberfest.

Germany’s second-largest city, Munich, is the place to head for beer and all things Bavarian – Oktoberfest is the world’s largest folk festival and attracts a staggering six million revellers each year. For a lower-key cultural experience, tour gothic, neo-gothic and renaissance architecture including the 17th-century Marienplatz and magnificent Nymphenburg Castle.
